What drives me

I vividly remember as a kid the first man landing on the moon. It has since sparked my interest in innovative ideas and technologies stretching boundaries. Realizing audacious goals never happen by itself, it mostly requires strong teamwork by people with different skills and backgrounds. This is where it gets exciting. Helping people share the same dream, working towards a common goal that no one thought would be possible to reach, is an enriching experience that gets me going. And an absolute thrill when finally those dreams come true.

My areas of expertise

I have been working in over 50 countries worldwide, mostly consulting financial institutions in emerging markets to professionalize their business and contribute to financial inclusion. Change has often been invoked by the creation of alignment between all stakeholders, ranging from shareholders, to supervisors, governments and bank executives. Together setting a dot on the horizon for all involved has proven to be a major milestone. This paved the way for the introduction and implementation of innovative and sturdy retail concepts that helped financial institutions to solidly grow their business. Having a common goal in place has also served the issue of governance, underlining the need to have clearly defined roles and responsibilities in place.

What you can expect

With new and diverse technologies all around my role tends to limit itself to finding common ground between parties and help dream up the common goal. Always interested to see what drives people and how that can be connected to others. A facilitating style with human interest, but always true to my roots as an economist: it’s the bottom line that needs to be paid attention to for the pleasure we can create together.
